Who Designed This Site?

This site was designed by Matt Brett. Anyone who has ever worked with a freelancer has likely had a bad experience. Perhaps they took your deposit and you never heard from them again, or maybe they were as slow as cold molasses (if they ever delivered a finished product at all).

While I have had a few really bad experiences with even (supposedly) reputable companies, I can say that working with Matt was by far the least painful design experience I have had (in fact, it was actually *fun*). He was in constant contact, gave updates on his progress several times a day (I swear!), and went out of his way to keep me informed of what he was working on via AIM and Basecamp.

Without a doubt, I would totally recommend Matt for any project. While I did have to wait patiently for my turn with him (the best designers are busy for a very good reason!), it was totally worth the wait. Check out his portfolio - I LOVE his work. He’s gotten a bunch of awards, too - like being awarded for his footer on his blog at SEOmoz and being named one of the top 55 Wordpress designers in the world.
