Filming our update… Not looking forward to it! (updated)
UPDATE: Filming was on Wednesday at 3pm. We hadn’t met this producer before, but he was very nice! Our favorite camera girl came - Jen. All in all, it was really easy and it was fun having everyone over! Em and Rob brought their big dogs and the kids had a blast playing and swimming after we shot. It’s a minute of footage at the end of the show, so virtually nothing will be used of the time they were there. While I forgot to get a picture with everyone, I snapped a couple of pictures from the day:
Grandma and Grace - Gracie got the blue eyes on my side of the family (the other two look nothing like me!)
Emori and Rob - Neighbors and business partner.
(And they made me go out dancing last night! Yay for 6th street.)
I need to finish my full story on our Flip That House fun (I have tons of before, during and after pics), but just a note that the show is coming back to Austin to film updates on the shows they shot last year.
April 25th and 26th.
I can’t say that I am looking forward to it, but I can’t really say why either.
That would ruin all the fun! You will just have to watch!
It should be easy - over in a couple of hours - but I have no idea when the reruns will air with the update at the end (they cut out some of the original show to add the update, I think).
I found this thread a while back talking about our show… Kinda strange, but I am so happy that nobody made horrendous fun of us. YES! Mission accomplished.

Like to hear more on Flipping, drop past…Nice site, I came via AWee.

Hey James!
I will talk more about flipping for sure - I have plenty to say about it.
I love real estate, but I wish it were easier sometimes!

I love these choice quotes from the thread:
“When Emori and Laura first appeared I was thinking “Oh no, Paris and Nicole”, boy was I wrong. I was totally impressed with their competence and maturity.”
-heh, heh, heh.
“They weren’t that young, cause that one brought her kids to help and the kid was swinging a hammer. Not particularly professionally, but there seemed to be more than one kid and husbands and such.”
-Was that your son? Maybe he was doing a WoW dwarven war hammer thing…?
“I liked the Texas girls, they were cute and competent. What I liked about them most was their attitude; they were modest about some things that many flippers are arrogant about.”
