Pajama Revolution - The Vision

Now that our trademark has been granted, I feel good about writing about this - even though it not much more than thoughts on paper the screen yet.

Before I say anything else, I think I should mention what this isn’t. There are 23,567,425,345 “how to start a home business” websites. You can “get rich quickly” with little to no effort these days - isn’t it amazing? I think so. I wonder why not everyone is rich yet… This has nothing to do with that.

This is a project that I am doing with my Mom - not only is she the greatest Mom on earth, but she’s also been a self-employed, work-from-home lawyer since at least 1785. (Yes, that’s a long time.) She knows a thing or two about how the world works, and has been a constant support for me over the last 5 years of self-employment. Though she should be thinking about retiring, there’s no slowing her down yet.

Combined, we know lots of stuff. Stuff that we are certain would be useful to people. Not in a ‘here’s how you do it’ way, though.

So the Pajama Revolution is a vehicle for us to say what we want to about this whole schtick. Our tagline is, “Where business meets loungewear.” (I can’t tell you how true this is…)

So what’s it about exactly? It’s about the actual stuff that people who work from home deal with. Icky stuff like taxes and legal crap are my mom’s specialty - I swear she has saved me so many times with that! We want to take a Freaknomics approach to this whole work at home revolution. We truly believe that the people who tighten up their belts and hunker down in their homes literally creating money in a place where there was none previously are the most important people in business today. Sure, they aren’t all up and coming Michael Dells, but it’s these people who will drive the economy of the future.

The people who create and innovate in environments without bosses hovering over their shoulders and neatly written procedures and protocols are essential to our economy - we want to understand these people, examine the significance of their impact, and look at how they are changing our world. It is our hope that these insights will propel the Pajama Revolution into a concept that fascinates people and propels them into action for themselves.
